Allie Yoon is an undergraduate researcher at the Nathanson Lab. She is currently part of the drug discovery and development team, striving to develop novel small-molecule inhibitors for treating glioblastoma (GBM). Her project involves investigating the biochemical mechanisms that contribute to high potency and identifying how a core chemical scaffold can be structurally modified to enhance those biochemical mechanisms. Her work includes running cellular assays and western blots to evaluate activation of cellular components in response to the small-molecule inhibitors. Allie is a third-year undergraduate student at UCLA majoring in Biochemistry.
